So that's a long-winded way of explaining this recipe. We were fortunate to spend some time with my Shelton family recently, and Uncle Jim shared with me his recipe of sauteed mushrooms...which he got from my dad back in the early '70's. I decided to make this recipe for Loren this weekend - I hope you enjoy them as much as he did!
Ingredients:
- Butter - I used about 4 tbsp
- Mushrooms - I used 4oz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
- Onions - I sliced a half yellow onion
- Brandy - "a decent/big splash"
Directions
- Over medium/medium high heat, melt the butter; add in onions and saute until they are translucent
- Add in the mushrooms and brandy and saute for about 6-8 minutes...I had Loren taste test one every few minutes as you don't want to over cook them :)
- Serve to all mushroom & onion lovers in your house! (We paired them with my Little Pomme Annes and a grilled ribeye)
