Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened (I let rest for about an hour)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg (at room temp)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cup AP Flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions
- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy and then add in the vanilla and egg. I use my KitchenAid mixer for this step.
- While your mixer is going, in another bowl, mix the remaining ingredients together. Then mix the dry ingredients into your mixer.
- Optional: I put my mixing bowl in the fridge for about 15 minutes while I got Ava's dinner ready...this is not needed but helps for the cookie formation!
- Add the dough into the Mirro press. I have an old-school vintage press, which you can find online, but you can also find newer models like this one for easier use.
- Pipe the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 11 minutes.
- Additionally I dunked some of the cookies in some Hershey Dark Chocolate and some sprinkled with coconut flakes!
