- 1 of each: red, orange, yellow and green pepper
- 1/2 to 1 whole red onion
- jalepeno peppers - I like about 3-4
- habanero peppers - 3 small ones (depending on how spicy you want)
- if there are other peppers in your store, grab some to add to the spice factor!
- 2-3 tomatoes (I choose the beefsteak type)
- I forgot - pablano peppers. I grab a few of these too.
- garlic…I like several cloves of garlic
- lime juice (i get one of those lime bottles in the veggie section)
- 1 can black beans - drained and rinsed
- 1 small bag frozen corn
- cilantro - use as much fresh as you can and chop finely
- garlic salt, sea salt, and pepper to taste
- pair of rubber gloves (your eyes will thank me later)
Other options:
* when scrambling eggs for breakfast, throw some of this in for a kick/healthy breakfast
* add salsa to top of grilled tilapia for a flavor boost
